فیلتراسیون غشائی
صاف کردن یا فیلتراسیون یک روش فیزیکی برای حذف ذرات معلق از هر سیال از جمله آب است این ذرات معلق می تواند گل ولای، رنگ، مواد آلی، پلانکتون، باکتری ها و ذرات حاصل از خوردگی باشد.
فیلترها (صافی ها) را می توان به دو دسته تقسیم کرد:
فیلترهای سطحی که عمل جدا شدن ذرات معلق از مایع فقط در عمق بسیار کم که همان سطح فیلتر می باشد انجام می شود.مثل انواع غشاء کاغذ صافی یا فیلترهای کیسه ای
فیلترهای عمقی که عمل جداشدن ذرات معلق از مایع در اعماق بستر استفاده می شود. مثل فیلترهای ثقلی یا فیلتر های فشاری.
در تصفیه آب منظور از فیلتر معمولا فیلترهای عمقی است و فیلترهای سطحی مطرح در تصفیه آب بیشتر انواع غشا ها هستند.
اساس کار اسمز معکوس:
اگر یک غشا نیمه تروا بین دو محلول با غلظت های متفاوت قرار گیرد، مقداری از حلال از یک طرف غشاء به طرف دیگر منتقل می شود. جهت طبیعی حرکت حلال یعنی از پتانسیل شیمیایی کمتر به گونه ای است که محلول غلیظ تر از سطح آب خالص بالاتر خواهد رفت و این اختلاف سطح در دو طرف غشاء را فشار اسمزی می گویند.
تکنولوژی اسمز معکوس :
در اسمز معکوس آب ورودی (تصفیه نشده) توسط پمپ با فشار به داخل محفظه ای که دارای غشای نیمه تروا می باشد رانده می شود و چون ناخالصی ها تقریبا قادر به عبور از غشاء نیستند از این رو در یک طرف غشاء آب تقریبا خالص (آب شیرین) و در طرف دیگر آن آب تغلیظ شده از ناخالصی ها ( آب شور) وجود خواهد داشت.
