سختی آب آشامیدنی چقدر باید باشد
سختی آب مربوط به املاح خاصی است که در آب وجود دارند. این املاح شامل کاتیون هایی مثل منیزیم کلسیم استرانسیوم آهن آلمینیوم منگنز و مس بوده که با آنیون های بی کربنات کربنات کلرید سولفات سیلیکات و نیترات به صورت محلول در آب وجود دارند. سختی کل شامل سختی موقت یا سختی کربناتی به اضافه سختی دائم یا سختی غیر کربناتی است. سختی موقت در اثر جوشاندن آب ته نشین می شود.
